UIDAI Finally Gets Powers to Act Against Aadhaar Violations, Impose Fines Up To Rs 1 Crore

The government notified the UIDAI (Adjudication of Penalties) Rules, 2021 on November 2 under which the Authority may initiate a complaint against an entity in the Aadhaar ecosystem for failure to comply with the Act.
